Work Request
A Work Request is a request for maintenance at a location.
If the service provider tools are enabled work requests can be generated by any user but require approval from a Client with manager level permissions. Also when service provider tools are enabled the work requests can be attached to work tickets to mark the request and complete and quickly view all work done to complete the request.
If the service provider tools are not enabled work requests can be generated by any user but require approval from a administrator or manager and are manually marked as complete.
Work Requests are automatically numbered based on the document format specified in the company settings.
Attributes
- Location - Location at which the work is needed.
- Device Type - If work is being requested for a device the type of device can be selected which will update the available devices.
- Device - If work is being requested for a device the device that needs maintenance. Only visible if device type is selected.
- Due In - Days after approval of the work request that the work request should be completed.
- Re-occurs - Check this box of the work re-occurs.
- Re-occurs every - Number of days in which the work request will need to be re-evaluated.
- Type - The type of work being requested.
- Priority - The priority level of work being requested.
- Work Description - Description of the work that needs completed.
- Internal Notes - Available for any notes related to the work request. Notes are internal and visible to all Employees.
- Complete - Mark the report as complete which will make it visible to Clients as well as prevent editing and deleting. A manager may re-open the Calibration Report by

Requests cannot be deleted once completed, approved or denied.
List Views
The Work Request list views are available in two places.
- Sidebar - Select Assets > Work Requests from the sidebar to display a list of all work requests.
- Location View - Select Work Requests from the menu when viewing a location to display a list of all approved work requests associated with the location.
The lists are sorted by due date and priority.
Details
The Work Request detail view displays a view of the work request details. The view also allows a user to print, email or download a pdf of the work request.
If the service provider tools are enabled the detail view will also display any work tickets that have been attached to the work request.
If the current user is a Client manager the detail view also allows the work request to be approved, denied or marked as under review. If the current user is a Employee manager when the service provider tools are disabled, the detail view also allows the work request to be approved, denied or marked as under review.
If the user does not have permissions to update the state of the work request, along the top of the view the state of the work request is displayed.
